Best of Both Worlds: Taylor Batey

Taylor Batey is a 22-year-old sophomore at Texas State University majoring in Advertising and Mass Communications with a minor in Psychology. She was born and raised in New Braunfels, Texas along with her twin sister, older sister, and younger brother. She is a devoted mother to a 17-month-old little boy and a hardworking young woman on a journey of self-discovery. The responsibilities of having a child at such a young age has proven to be difficult for Taylor as she spends most of her free time with her son while also studying as a full-time student. Her drive and determination to care for her son, and at the same time bettering her education, is inspiring for students and single parents everywhere. She is an active individual that loves playing sports, listening to country music, taking her son to swim class, and is an aspiring photographer. Taylor's future aspirations include graduating Texas State and raising her son.
