Aaron Esparza is a 23-year-old Texas State student from East Austin, studying public relations. Originally, Aaron attended Steven F. Austin State University in his freshmen year, then transferred to Austin Community College. It wasn’t until his junior year that he made his way to Texas State, although he feels as though he “ended up where [he] needed to be”. He commutes from Austin to the University all while holding a job at Enterprise Rent-A-Car at the Austin Bergstrom International Airport. Speaking of airports, Aaron also loves to travel, having recently been to Florida as well as Cancun. On Friday the thirteenth, after his freshmen year spring break vacation, Aaron was driving back to his hometown only to be rear ended by two 18-wheelers barreling towards him on the highway. This incident inspired his delicate coffee cup tattoo on the inside of his forearm. He described the inked drink as “strong but necessary”. Like coffee, the accident was a reminder of his strength and an awakening to the importance of life. Aaron is also the oldest of six siblings, leading by example, and hoping to graduate next fall.
